SCARECROW COMPACT is an integrated bird dispersal system designed for use in locations as diverse as fruit farms, crop fields, parks and other outdoor urban areas.
COMPACT is fully automatic and random play in use, will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without human intervention, and may be powered from 15v dc, 110V/250V ac mains supplies, or a leisure battery, fully maintained by Solar Panels.
COMPACT incorporates a well researched and trialled bio-acoustic bird dispersal system using natural species distress calls to create an environment appearing 'hostile' to birds.
COMPACT is very effective in dispersing birds, is humane, inoffensive and does not endanger their lives. Importantly, natural bird distress calls played back at a natural sound level are not intrusive and often remain unnoticed where the public is present. Proven technology unique to SCARECROW, means that birds will not habituate to a correctly operated system.
COMPACT is available in three basic versions:
1311 - Providing 200 degree dispersal angle, wall or scaffold pole mounting.
1312 - This is a 'slave' version of 1311 designed to connect to 1311 to provide 360 degree dispersal; typical applications would be central placement in a crop field or suspension over a shopping mall, or within a warehouse.
1313 - A complete, portable system with 360 degree dispersal, fitted to a 2m pole mounted on a 1m square base. A Solar Panel, adjustable in angle, is included to enable the system to be independent of all external power supplies.
1311 and 1313 include a daylight sensor that can be programmed to cancel the playback sequence from DUSK to DAWN. In addition to normal random timed playback COMPACT can be set up to play when any bird movement is detected using the optional Infra Red sensor (P.I.R)
All controls, which are pre-set on installation, are housed within the IP66 rated enclosure. Use of solid state digital technology means there are no moving parts to maintain or replace, ensuring extreme reliability and long term high quality sound.
