This unit will deter pests from entering your home but not prevent. Once installed, however, if pests are present, intial effects will take several days to become apparent. It may take longer (up to 3 weeks) to drive out well established pests and rodents with young in nest. It is strongly recommended that the ultrasonic and electomagnetic settings are changed at least weekly and if rodents are present, then daily or twice per day.
