Insectrac Tabs are a small tablet consisting of Entostat™ powder formulated with minute quantities of the female sex pheromone. The Insectrac tablet works by attracting male moths to the Entostat powder and female pheromone. As the male moths pick up Entostat powder, their pheromone receptors become overloaded with pheromone and they are unable to locate females. A male carrying Entostat powder will form a mobile pheromone dispenser, producing “false” pheromone trails, which attract additional males.

Contact between the males ensures that the Entostat powder and the confusion effect is automatically passed on, this process is called Auto- Confusion™. The result is a state of sexual confusion amongst the male moth population leading to effective mating disruption. This product helps processors to reduce and/or eliminate insecticide sprays and consequently, reduce subsequent down-time in production associated with fumigation and spray regimes.

Place tablet in holder and place at 1-2 metres off the floor, one tablet will cover an area of 25 sq. metres and last at least 2 months. This product does not kill moth but totally disrupts the mating process and reduces ongoing infestation considerably, however, we would suggest other control measure be put in place.

If you manage a large warehouse it would be useful to use the sticky monitors to evaluate the success of this new mating disruptor.

DO NOT USE STICKY MONITORS WITHIN 2 METRES OF THE EXOSEX, as they will conflict with each other.

Please note due to the pheromone strengths contained within these lures the registration applied to the product is only 6 months from time of manufacture. Although they are well sealed and will last beyond the dates applied these are non-returnable products.
